  In this version of Mark Twain's story, Huckleberry Finn (Eddie Hodges) escapes from his brutal alcoholic father, Pap (Neville Brand), and joins runaway slave Jim (Archie Moore) on a rafting trip down the Mississippi River. Along the way, they meet con-men "King" and "Duke" (Tony Randall and Mickey Shaughnessy) who find work on a riverboat and join the circus–neither the riverboat nor the circus were in Twain's book. Reluctantly, Huckleberry and Jim are drawn into the schemes of "King" and "Duke."

His son, Captain Merritt, kills him in order to save the mission, and the crew lands on Mars on Christmas day. Special effects are great.

Michelle agrees to the plan, and all goes well–until Sam falls in love with Michelle. Other problems rise to the fore with George's young brother Billy (Fabian) who is smitten with Michelle, but she resists his advances. Meanwhile, con-man Frankie Cannon (Ernie Kovacs) plots to convince Michelle to help him steal George and Sam's gold claim. By story's end, Sam, George, Billy, and Michelle join forces to protect the gold, and Sam and Michelle discover their love for each other.
