To attain his dream of owning a bar, Buddy (Michael Rispoli) uses an inheritance to buy a two family house in which he and his wife Estelle (Katherine Narducci) can live on the second floor while the bar occupies the first. Estelle objects, and then Buddy learns that the O'Nearys (Kelly MacDonald and Kevin Conway) already rent the upstairs apartment and are not about to be evicted. Despite these problems, Buddy is about to learn the importance of family, friends, and what love is really all about.
