As she relates her past to Stanislaus, she reveals that while she is accused of attempting to kill both her husband (Philippe Leotard) and her lover (Charles Denner), she has indirectly been involved in the killing of her father and mother-in-law as well. By the time she finishes her stories, Stanislaus, like others before, falls in love with Camille, and now he determines to prove her innocence.
