Two high-school gangs of the 1950s, the T-Birds (guys) and the Pink Ladies (girls), are the centerpiece of this film. T-Bird leader Danny (John Travolta) falls for Sandy (Olivia Newton-John) during the summer. When school begins in the fall, Sandy's family has moved to town, and she is the "new girl" on campus–an event that does not go unnoticed by the Pink Ladies. A fun musical look at the 1950s.
