Clouseau is also trying to catch Lytton's accomplice who, unbeknownst to Clouseau, is his own wife Simone (Capucine). Now another thief appears on the scene; he is Lytton's nephew George (Robert Wagner), and he has his own plans to steal the Pink Panther diamond.
