It is the 22nd century, and Martine Quiller (Gwynyth Walsh), the CEO of Proxate Corporation, recruits Capt. Sean Murdoch (Malcolm McDowell) to command a run-down ship and sail to Nigeria. Too late, Murdoch realizes that his ship is carrying criminally insane inmates. As if that were not enough, Murdoch learns that bombs have been planted on the ship. It is obvious to Murdoch that the ship was never meant to reach Nigeria. When he changes the ship's course, Martine activates a killer cyborg (Daniela Nolano) that has been hidden on board, and chaos ensues with Murdoch now fighting for his life.

Chucky (voice of Brad Dourif), that doll that came to life as a serial killer, returns to the screen. Chucky's ex-girlfriend Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) has gathered Chucky's pieces from the morgue and sewn them together. Chucky comes back to life when he casts a voodoo spell to revive himself. He electrocutes Tiffany, and then revives her as his Talking Tina doll bride. They set off on their honeymoon and hitch a ride with teenagers Jade (Katherine Heigl) and Jessie (Nick Stabile). Another bout of murder and mayhem ensues while Jade and Jessie must face the fact that their doll companions are killers.
