After Gulick saves Grogan's partner Dolly (Lola Albright) from gangsters' clutches, she gives him the name "Kid Galahad," and he rises through the boxing ranks. Gulick knows he has the talent to win the upcoming championship, but his trainer Lew (Charles Bronson) has been bribed to contribute to Gulick losing his big fight. The fight begins, and "Kid Galahad" refuses to give up. He wins the match–and the love of his life, Rose (Joan Blackman), as well.

Very good performances.
