After her mother commits suicide and her stepfather dies in a crash, Brittany finds that she is essentially cut out of the will. Another complication results when Maya (Leila Arcieri) arrives in town claiming to be the illegitimate daughter of the dead man. Enter insurance investigator Terence (Isaiah Washington) who begins to question whether the crash was really an accident. Could the two girls be involved in an insurance scam?
