  Australian orphans Spit (James Fraser), Sparks (Christian Byers), Misty (Lee Cormie), and Maps (Daniel Radcliffe) were all born in the same month of December. This year they spend the Christmas holidays with retired naval officer Bandy McAnsh (Jack Thompson) and his wife Skipper (Kris McQuade) at their seaside home. While there, they meet a younger couple, Fearless and Teresa (Sullivan Stapleton and Victoria Hill), who the boys believe are planning to adopt one of them. Now–amidst swimming, sneaking cigarettes, motorcycle riding, and playing on the beach–tensions and competition rise among the December Boys.

  Lovers Al (Matt Day) and Nikki (Frances O'Connor) operate a scam in which Nikki picks up married businessmen and then drugs and robs them–until one of her marks dies. Al and Nikki find a tape in the briefcase of the victim exposing sports hero Zipper Doyle as a pedophile. Nikki threatens Zipper, and Al and Nikki make tracks out of town. But, people along the way keep dying, and the mistrust between Al and Nikki grows deeper.

  This prequel to "X-Men" goes back in time and tells about Logan (Hugh Jackman) growing up with his half-brother Viktor (Liev Schreiver)–before they became Wolverine and Sabretooth. The plot involves Wolverine getting revenge against the villain who has been capturing members of a military team of mutants, which includes Viktor. Viktor tricks Wolverine into being injected by the evil Col. Stryker (Danny Huston) with "Adamantium" that causes his hands to sprout metal claws. Now, Wolverine sets off to put an end to the evil acts.
