This biography deals with Artemisia's early years as an apprentice and the rape trial that resulted from her affair with her teacher, Angostino Tassi (Miki Manojlovic).

But Ismael is holed up in a mental hospital. The story cuts between Nora and Ismael and their past and present dilemmas as they try to put together a plan for the future.

But, when Pierre's wife Franca (Nelly Benedetti) catches onto the affair, the situation rages out of control and leads to a tragic end.
