In this classic love story, Nickie (Cary Grant) is traveling on a luxury liner to New York when he meets fellow passenger Terry (Deborah Kerr). Nickie makes the date on the Empire State Building, but Terry has an accident and does not appear. Will Nickie discover the reason behind her absence, or are they destined to remain apart forever?

Burns assigns Hildy one last story (covering an execution) in hopes that Hildy will stay with the newspaper. The film received Academy Award nominations for Best Picture, Actor, and Director.

When Robert mistakenly places a black pin on a plot that should have been white, the plot-owner dies. This starts a series of MAJOR problems. Good trick photography.
