Lt. Steve Maryk (Jeff Daniels) led the mutiny because a deadly storm was brewing, and Maryk felt that Capt. Queeg was losing his sanity. The act leads to a court martial. Defense attorney Lt. Barney Greenwald (Eric Bogosian) calls Queeg to testify for the defense–knowing that the only way to win the case is to prove that Capt. Queeg really was incompetent. A compelling story.
