Kendrick's senior officer Col. Nathan Jessup (Jack Nicholson) denies any knowledge of Kendrick issuing the order and wants the investigation stopped. Now, Kaffee is determined to find the proof behind the allegations even if it means going head-to-head with tough Col. Jessup. The film received four Academy Award nominations including Best Supporting Actor (Jack Nicholson) and Best Picture.
