Frank learns that Joe is looking for him, and he tells his wife Edith (Janet Leigh) that Joe is mentally ill and then leaves for Los Angeles for a convention. Joe contacts Edith and tells her that Frank is responsible for many deaths, and she follows Frank to Los Angeles to warn him–with Joe close on her heels.
