  While driving down a highway at night, Senga (Madeleine Stowe) and daughter Nat (Mischa Barton) come upon a backpacker (Bijou Phillips) along the road. Nat takes off with him and the other backpackers, beginning her life in a blood and mind-altering cult. Mom sets out to save her daughter, but she must deal with her own past as well.

  In this, the first of a Japanese animated series, giant Labor robots working on a massive reclamation project go on a rampage, and police investigators are assigned to find out what is going on. It seems that the software programmed into thousands of robots worldwide contain a virus that is about to cause major problems. But the genius who programmed the robots committed suicide, and the race is on to prevent the catastrophe. Excellent animation.

  The animated series continues as the giant Labor robots are now targeted for use as military weapons by disgruntled ex-military terrorists. After a major bridge is bombed, the Mobile Police–whose job it is to ensure proper use of the robots–are called in to save mankind. The animation continues to be impressive.
