The devil horribly scarred Erik's face forever, but Erik lives beneath the London Opera House where he writes his music. When Erik meets Christine, he falls in love with her, coaches her, and she becomes an opera star. Christine enjoys her success and her romance with Erik–until she realizes that Erik is committing grisly murders in his attempt to assure Christine success in the musical world.
