Christine (Jill Schoelen) auditions for a Broadway show and discovers a piece of music written by obscure composer Erik (Robert Englund). When Christine sings Erik's song, she is taken back to 1881 in London. Many years before, Erik had made a pact with the devil in exchange for writing popular songs. The devil horribly scarred Erik's face forever, but Erik lives beneath the London Opera House where he writes his music.
