In this sequel to the original film ("Eddie and the Cruisers"), Eddie (Michael Pare), who was thought to have died in a car wreck, turns up alive and well in Montreal where he is using a new identity, "Joe West." "Eddie and the Cruisers" was a hot band in the 1960s, and now his old recording company plans to make a fortune on "Eddie and the Cruisers" lost tapes from that era. The songs that were recorded in the 1960s are finally released in an album, and it is a big hit. This encourages Eddie, under his alias of Joe West, to start a new band and go on the road, but keeping his real identity a secret might prove difficult. John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band provide the music for this film.
