Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne is entertaining Councilman Arthur Reeves (voice of Hart Bochner) who is responsible for the accusations about Batman, and he taunts Wayne about his long-lost love, college sweetheart Andrea (Dana Delany), who left him years before. Now, the story skips back-and-forth between the present and the past, and, in the process, Batman discovers a link between Andrea and the crime villain. The Joker (Mark Hamill) steps in and uncovers the fact that Andrea is the Phantasm, and she is out to avenge her father's (Stacey Keach) murder. Batman arrives on the scene, a battle ensues, and Batman's name is cleared.

Mala captures Earth pilot Jim (voice of Luke Wilson) after he crash lands and nurses him back to health. She learns from Jim that the humans who have invaded Terra are the last of their species and that they have exhausted Earth's resources. Jim and Mala form a friendship, and, as they set out to rescue Mala's father, they realize that the inhabitants of Earth and Terra are not really different from each other. They may now hold the key to helping them coexist.

In 2003, film historian Richard Schickel added footage to expand the film by 45 minutes to better reflect Fuller's desired product. This version is the one to get.

Carpenter is a hilarious host with lots of cameos–including Roger Corman.

Ward)–heading for a zombie-infested Louisiana island. They arrive, and Lena (voice of Tara Strong) takes them to the home of Simone (voice of Adrienne Barbeau) whose gardener Beau (voice of Cam Clarke) is suspected of causing bizarre incidents. While they investigate, the gang finds themselves caught between cat creatures and zombies. Luckily, Beau turns out to be an undercover detective, and all ends happily.

Mark Hamill plays boy hero Luke Skywalker who, under the guidance of Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi (Alec Guinness), comes to the rescue. The mission is enhanced by a pair of robots–R2-D2 and C-3PO (Kenny Baker and Anthony Daniels)–along with Han Solo (Harrison Ford). The film won seven Oscars and was nominated for Best Picture, Director, Supporting Actor (Guinness), and Writing.
