After Bartleby Gaines (Justin Long) is rejected from all of the colleges he has applied to, he comes up with a unique solution: create a fake university–the South Harmon Institute of Technology–funded by the money his parents believe they are paying for Bartleby's tuition. When the institute's web site begins to attract other rejects, and they show up at the "school," the fun begins.
