Jane (Laraine Day) argues with her lover (Franchot Tone) and stabs him. Believing he is dead, she lugs him into the laundry room before her husband, Fred (Bruce Bennett), arrives home. Fred's brother, Bill (Dane Clark), arrives on the scene and tells Fred of Jane's extramarital affair, which causes Jane to confess and then try to kill herself. She is rushed to the hospital where she discovers that her lover, who was not dead after all, managed to drag himself to the hospital for treatment.
