The futuristic cyborg RoboCop (Peter Weller) again fights evil forces but is scheduled by OCP, the company that created Robocop, to be replaced by a more modern model: RoboCop 2. Cain (Tom Noonan) leads a drug ring and plans to get his hands on the drug Nuke and market it to Detroit's citizens. When RoboCop arrests Cain, Cain is injured and OCP designer Faxx (Belinda Bauer) secretly takes Cain's brain and inserts it into RoboCop 2. Now, the battle ensues as RoboCop must wipe out the evil, psychotic RoboCop 2. There is one more sequel.

In this second sequel to the original "RoboCop" film, Peter Weller has been replaced by Robert John Burke as RoboCop. This time around, the CEO (Rip Torn) of the mega-conglomerate that made RoboCop, Omni Consumer Products, is planning to replace the crumbling city of Detroit. RoboCop steps in amidst the mercenary army that is harassing the inner-city citizens and comes to their aid when their homes are scheduled to be demolished to make room for the new development.
