She then proceeds to fall in love with Kildare, but he still grieves for his fiancee, who died (in the previous episode). With several members of the cast of the earlier films missing, this was the appropriate time to end the series.

Andy's friend Beezy (George P. Breakston) is going to be out of town also and pays Andy to take his girlfriend, Cynthia (Lana Turner), to the party. But, those plans fall through. Now, the girl visiting next door, Betsy (Judy Garland), is Andy's date. She sings two songs at the party, and Andy is smitten. But, by story's end, Andy is back with Polly.
