High-school senior Mandy (Ashley Tisdale) dreams of popularity, and her chance finally comes when she gets a date with popular Drew (Robbie Amell) to go to a big party. Mandy's big evening is in big jeopardy when her overprotective father (Kevin Pollak) grounds her and calls every 30 minutes to reach Mandy on her new video cell phone to make sure that she is obeying his orders. Now, Mandy devises a scheme to outsmart her father that just may or may not work.
