It's the day before Christmas when the obscene phone calls start at the sorority house, and the killing of sorority sisters begins. It appears that the killer is in the attic. A pretty good slasher film that set a standard for those to follow. Margot Kidder is great as the foul-mouthed sorority sister, Barb.

Class of '44   1973     2 and a half stars    PG, 85 min.
Genre: Drama
Director: Paul Bogart
Cast: Gary Grimes, Jerry Houser, Oliver Conant, Deborah Winters, William Atherton, Sam Bottoms, Joe Ponazecki, Murray Westgate, Marian Waldman, Mary Long

Sequels usually aren't as good as the original, and that is the case here as this follow-on to "Summer of '42" has Gary Grimes and Jerry Houser back. They are having growing pains as they find romance in college. Entertaining.
