  Al (Vincent Spano), a small-time thug on the streets of Brooklyn, works for the local crime boss, Danny (Danny Aiello), and is still haunted by his father's violent death when Al was a youth. Enter filmmaker Gabriella (Maria Grazia Cucinotta) who is shooting a documentary of life on the Brooklyn streets. She takes a room provided by Al's aunt, and Al falls for her. It soon becomes apparent that Gabriella is really trying to get the goods on Danny, and some of the evidence concerns Al's father.

Sadly, Massimo Troisi died of heart failure the day after this film was completed. Louis Bacalov won the Oscar for Best Original Dramatic Musical Score. Nominations were received for Best Picture, Actor (Troisi), Director, and Writing.

  Pierce Brosnan takes on the James Bond role for the third time in this action-filled thriller. Bond teams up with nuclear weapons expert Dr. Christmas Jones (Denise Richards), and they investigate the plot of international terrorist Renard (Robert Carlyle) who feels no pain because a bullet lodged in his brain is robbing him of his senses. Renard has been instrumental in sabotaging a new King pipeline that is under construction, and Bond and Jones set out to stop his devious actions that could result in destroying Europe.
