DEA agent Tom Hardy (John Travolta) leads the investigation of the disappearance of Army cadets. Led by Sgt. Nathan West (Samuel L. Jackson), the cadets had entered the Panamanian jungle, and only two–Kendall and Dunbar (Giovanni Ribisi and Brian Van Holt)–appear to have survived. When the survivors do not cooperate, new tactics are introduced to convince them to answer questions.
