Fifteen-year-old Bobby (Gary McCleery) is in deep trouble after he unknowingly participated in a robbery and subsequent police shooting. Social worker Laura (Margaret Klenck) gets involved with his case when it looks as if he will be tried as an adult with life imprisonment a probability. When it becomes clear that Laura will not be able to get him out, she takes matters into her own hands, springs Bobby out of jail, and they take off. Now the problems really begin.
