Villagers take matters into their own hands, and Patrizia teams with newsman Andrea (Tomas Milian) to find out what's going on. Good, with some brutal scenes but not like the gory Fulci films to follow.

But, his depression persists, and the woman– realizing that he does not love her–sets him free by committing suicide. Notable only for an early film appearance of Gerard Depardieu.

  The decadence of the aristocracy in late 19th-century Italy is the theme of this story about Tullio (Giancarlo Giannini) who openly has a passionate affair with the widow, Countess Teresa (Jennifer O'Neill). But, it's a different thing altogether when he finds out that his young wife Giuliana (Laura Antonelli) is also having an affair with a novelist (Marc Porel). Now, Tullio's renewed interest in Giuliana suffers a setback when she gives birth to an illegitimate son.
