  Two episodes of the classic series are presented in this DVD. "A Taste of Armageddon" (aired 2/23/1967, stardate 3192.1)-The planet Eminiar VII has been at war with its neighbor planet Vendikar for five centuries. But war is humane–when the computers declare a "hit," people that have been chosen to be killed are sent to disintegration chambers. Enterprise, on its way to Eminiar VII, is declared a hit, and some crew members have been declared killed and must be turned over for disintegration. Now what will Kirk do? "Space Seed" (aired 2/16/1967, stardate 3141.9)-The Enterprise comes across a ship containing survivors from a war in the late 20th century who are in suspended animation–selected "super" people with exceptional powers. Awakened, the leader, Khan, with the help of a crew member who came under his spell, takes over the ship. Now the battle lines are drawn. This episode prompted the second of the "Star Trek" movies: "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan."

  Two more episodes of the classic series are presented in this DVD. "Who Mourns for Adonis?" (aired 9/22/1967, stardate 3468.1)-A force draws the Enterprise to Pollax IV where the crew encounters a being who claims to be Apollo, the Greek god. Apollo does indeed have great powers and intends to keep the crew on his planet so there will be someone to worship him. "Amok Time" (aired 9/15/1967, stardate 3372.7)-Vulcans must mate or die, and now it is Spock's time as he has the mating urge. The Enterprise heads to Vulcan for the wedding ceremony, but the woman designated during childhood to be his bride desires another, and if Spock is to have her, he must win a fight to the death. The fight is not to be against her true love, but it is to be against Kirk. Oh, no!

"The Doomsday Machine" (aired 10/20/1967, stardate 4202.9)-A gigantic rocket ship is wreaking havoc throughout the galaxy and has now disabled the Constellation, which was sent to deal with the threat. All on board have been killed except the ship's commander. The Enterprise arrives, and the battle continues–not only with the intruder but also with the Constellation's commander, who decides to take over the Enterprise and destroy the enemy. "Wolf in the Fold" (aired 12/22/1967, stardate 3614.9)-After a head injury, Scotty is accused of being a lady killer, having been caught with a blood-stained knife and a dead woman whom he had gone out with. Things get worse when two more women are killed–now Kirk and company must deal with the sinister being that is really causing all this trouble.

"The Apple" (aired 10/13/1967, stardate 3715.0)-The paradise-like Gamma Trianguli VI is being explored by an Enterprise landing party. But all is not as it seems on the planet as bizarre–and dangerous–events start occurring.

  Two episodes from the second year are presented in this DVD. "Mirror, Mirror" (aired 10/6/1967, stardate unknown)-An ion storm during a beaming process causes the transporter–with Kirk, Uhuru, McCoy, and Scotty on board–to be thrown into an alternate universe that is dominated by an empire based on fear and force. They "land" on the imperial starship Enterprise, which has crew members that look like Kirk's crew. Meanwhile, doubles of Kirk and party are sent to replace them on the real Enterprise. There's no way they can get out of this mess–or is there? "The Deadly Years" (aired 12/8/1967, stardate 3478.2)-On the way to Starbase 10 with the new starbase commander on board, the Enterprise stops at a planet to deliver supplies. While on the planet, the landing party–which includes Kirk and Spock–is subjected to dangerous radiation that results in a fast aging process. Now the exposed personnel are getting too old to run the ship, so the passenger takes command. He has no field experience and immediately heads into danger. Can something be done to save everyone?

  Two episodes of the classic series are presented in this DVD. "I, Mudd" (aired 11/9/1967, stardate 4513.3)-An android disguised as a crew member kidnaps the Enterprise and takes it to a planet where Kirk's old nemesis, Harry Mudd, is on hand. The androids have been built by a now-extinct race and are designed to serve humans. Mudd hopes that they will serve the Enterprise crew and let him get away. But the androids are just too servile, and it's going to be hard for anyone to shake them. "The Trouble With Tribbles" (aired 12/29/1967, stardate 4523.3)-A space station manager gets nervous when Klingons arrive for R&R (as allowed by treaty) since he has a valuable load of wheat on board that is destined for a colony where famine exists. The Enterprise is sent to keep the peace and on arriving finds that the station is overrun by the fast-propagating tribbles, lovable furry balls that seem to only eat and have babies. But–there are dead tribbles all over the wheat storage area, which turns out to be caused by poison. The Klingons are responsible, prompting Kirk and Co. to get to work.

  Two episodes from the second season are presented in this DVD. "A Private Little War" (aired 2/2/1968, stardate 4211.4)-An Enterprise landing party finds that things have changed on this formerly peaceful planet. The dastardly Klingons have provided advanced weaponry to the villagers to the dismay of the peaceful hill people, whose leader is a friend of Kirk. Now Kirk has a problem: whether or not to violate the Federation's non-interference policy. "The Gamesters of Triskelion" (aired 1/5/1968, stardate 3211.7)-Kirk, Uhura, and Chekov are beamed off of the Enterprise by a powerful force from Triskelion. Upon arrival, they are put into training to become gladiators for the pleasure of the locals. Meanwhile, Spock, on board the Enterprise, has tracked them down and is on the way. But to survive, and even save the Enterprise and its crew, Kirk must win a life-or-death wager.

  Two episodes of the classic series are presented in this DVD. "A Piece of the Action" (aired 1/12/1968, stardate 4598.0)-Many years ago the starship Horizon visited the remote planet of Iotia, whose inhabitants were known to be heavily into imitation. The Enterprise makes a visit to check up on the people of Iotia and find that their civilization has been rebuilt to imitate the Chicago mobs of the 1920s (from a book left by Horizon). Kirk and his crew are in the middle of the turmoil and must get involved. "By Any Other Name" (aired 2/23/1968, stardate 4657.5)-While answering a distress signal from a planet, Kirk's landing party is captured by a group from the Andromeda galaxy searching for new places to colonize; they need the Enterprise in order to return home. Though they are huge beings with tentacles, they can take on human form and have great powers. Well, Kirk, what's your game plan to get out of this mess?

  The last episode of the second season and one from the third season are presented in this DVD. "Assignment: Earth" (aired 3/29/1968, stardate unknown)-The Enterprise is sent back to 20th-century Earth to learn how the Earth survived this violent time. A strange time traveler is intercepted who claims to have been sent to save the Earth. He escapes and heads to Earth with Kirk and Spock in pursuit to determine the man's real mission and to ensure history is not changed. "Spectre of the Gun" (aired 10/25/1968, stardate 4385.3)-The Enterprise is trespassing–according to the Melkots–on the Melkot's planet, and after Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and Chekov are beamed down they are told that they will be punished. The Melkots can project any image they desire, so the punishment is to relive the gunfight at O.K. Corral–and the landing party crew members are the bad guys!

  Two episodes (1 and 4) of the original series are presented: "The Man Trap" (aired 9/8/1966, stardate 1513.1)-Though the sixth episode shot, this was the first to be aired in the popular series. When the Enterprise stops at Planet M113 for the annual visit, things turn sour when the resident archeologist and his wife just want to be left alone. Then, the killing of crew members begins, their bodies drained of salt. What is going on? "The Naked Time" (aired 9/29/1966, stardate 1704.2)-Trouble is brewing for the crew of Enterprise as they explore a planet that is about to disintegrate. Intending to pick up a research party, they find that all have died in mysterious ways. Crew members pick up an alien virus that loosens all inhibitions in them, and brings out their basic weaknesses. The virus rapidly spreads throughout the entire crew and as they all run amuck in the Enterprise, the planet is poised to collapse at any moment.

  Two of the weaker episodes from the third season are presented. "Spock's Brain" (aired 9/20/1968, stardate 5431.4)-The Enterprise comes across another starship, which beams a woman on board. She is able to place all crew members in an unconscious state and steals Spock's brain. Now the race is on to recover the brain before Spock's body dies. The search leads the crew to an underground culture of women. "Is There No Truth in Beauty?" (aired 10/18/1968, stardate 5630.7)-The Enterprise is assigned to transport Kollos, a Medusan ambassador, to his spaceship. Dr. Miranda Jones is also on board to make telepathic contact with Kollos in order to learn of Medusan technology and then adapt it for Federation use. Medusans, though of kind hearts, are hideous creatures physically, and to look at one will drive a person insane. Things get out of hand when jealousy rears its ugly head.

  Two episodes of the original series are presented in this DVD. "The Galileo Seven" (aired 1/5/1967, stardate 2821.5)-A shuttle is sent from the Enterprise to investigate a quasar-like phenomenon, but the objects damages the shuttle, causing the crew to land on a planet to make repairs. Out of range from the Enterprise, and without enough power to break the planet's orbit, the crew is indeed in trouble. "Court-Martial" (aired 2/2/1967, stardate 2947.3)-After incurring damage during an ion storm, the Enterprise puts in at a starbase for repairs. But now, Kirk is facing a court-martial based on computer records that improper decisions were made by Kirk during the storm, which resulted in the death of a crew member. But–something is wrong with those computer records.

  Episode 16, "Menagerie," Parts 1 and 2 (aired 11/17/1966 and 11/24/1966, stardate 3012.4), is presented in this DVD. The Enterprise is sent to a starbase, in response to a bogus signal, and on arrival finds the paralyzed and disfigured Captain Pike, a former commander of the Enterprise. Spock, who had served under Captain Pike, captures Pike and sets off to Talos IV, a forbidden planet. Spock then turns himself in for a court-martial where the story unfolds of the Talosians, masters of illusion.
