Two episodes of the classic series are presented in this DVD. "A Taste of Armageddon" (aired 2/23/1967, stardate 3192.1)-The planet Eminiar VII has been at war with its neighbor planet Vendikar for five centuries. But war is humane–when the computers declare a "hit," people that have been chosen to be killed are sent to disintegration chambers. Enterprise, on its way to Eminiar VII, is declared a hit, and some crew members have been declared killed and must be turned over for disintegration. Now what will Kirk do? "Space Seed" (aired 2/16/1967, stardate 3141.9)-The Enterprise comes across a ship containing survivors from a war in the late 20th century who are in suspended animation–selected "super" people with exceptional powers. Awakened, the leader, Khan, with the help of a crew member who came under his spell, takes over the ship. Now the battle lines are drawn. This episode prompted the second of the "Star Trek" movies: "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan."
