  Chester Gould's comic-strip characters come to the screen as Dick Tracy (Morgan Conway) and his partner Pat Patton (Lyle Latell) hunt for serial killer Splitface (Mike Mazurki). Tracy and Patton look for a common thread connecting the victims in order to track down Splitface, and the trail leads to a riverboat where Tess Trueheart (Anne Jeffreys) and her son Junior (Mickey Kuhn) are held captive.

  Dastardly criminal Gruesome (Boris Karloff) uses gas bombs to paralyze victims while he robs banks.   Morgan Conway takes on Ralph Byrd's role of detective Dick Tracy who, this time around, is on the trail of Cueball (Dick Wessel), the leader of a gang of jewel thieves. Cueball murders one of his gang because he believes he is being swindled and then continues his murder spree by killing others in his gang because they have double-crossed him. Once again, Tess Trueheart (Anne Jeffreys) steps into action and poses as a buyer of the stolen jewels but then is captured by Cueball. Will Tracy be able to save her?

  Chester Gould's comic-strip characters are back–this time Ralph Byrd again takes on the title role of Dick Tracy who must contend with Steve "The Claw" Michel (Jack Lambert) whose hand is a steel claw. The Claw steals furs, and Humphrey (Charles Marsh), who owns Flawless Furs, is a victim. Tracy and his sidekick Pat Patton (Lyle Latell) are in pursuit, and the end comes when The Claw accidentally gets hooked on a live wire from a trolley and electrocutes himself.

  In this "Boston Blackie" episode, ex-thief Boston Blackie (Chester Morris) is accused of stealing the Niles diamond from a charity event at the Carleton Plaza Hotel. Police Inspector Farraday (Richard Lane) tells Blackie that if he finds the diamond and returns it, the charges will be dropped. Now, with his sidekick The Runt (George E. Stone) assisting, Blackie sets out to find the missing diamond. He catches the thugs and, as a bonus, gets an apology from Inspector Farraday.

  Tris Stewart (Lloyd Bridges) is serving time in jail; however, when it is discovered that counterfeiters are using his equipment to print money, he agrees to join forces with government agents to put the criminals out of business. They fake Stewart's escape, but Stewart slips away and heads to Los Angeles where he reunites with girlfriend Meg Dixon (Barbara Payton). Meanwhile, Agent John Downey (John Hoyt) goes undercover and stays on Stewart's trail. Downey infiltrates the counterfeit gang, but, his identity is revealed, and they are ready to execute him when agents trap them in a trolleycar garage for a final shootout.
