The chief prison guard is Officer Brown (Roy Jenson) who is a pawn of Slocums. New recruit Brian Courtland (Clu Gulager) finds his hands are tied as well. Everything about this prison appears to be corrupt, but that does not stop Courtland from attempting to bring about reform.

WHY CAN'T HOLLYWOOD MAKE DECENT MOVIES LIKE THIS ONE. NO WONDER I REFUSE TO SPEND A SINGLE CENT TO GO TO THE MOVIES. I MUCH RATHER WATCH "THE BEST OF BROADWAY" SHOWS IN SAN FRANCISCO (MUSICALS AND DRAMA'S), THAN THE OVERPRICED GARBAGE NOW FILLING THEATER SCREEN.
