Based of Daphne Du Maurier's novel, this made-for-TV miniseries tells the tale of the young woman (Emilia Fox) who recently married the wealthy Maxim de Winter (Charles Dance) within a year of the death of his first wife, Rebecca. She finds that it is difficult for a middle-class woman to fit into the social world that she now inhabits. Even the housekeeper, Mrs. Danvers (Diana Rigg, in an Emmy-winning performance), who admired Rebecca, makes her life miserable. But even bigger problems lie ahead.
