Great Western StoryRick from Paso 09/06/2007 
  Pretty faithful to the book and much better than the Fess Parker version. A real tear jerker and one of Fred MacMurray's best movies. Burl Ives first movie. One of my favorite movies!

  This sequel to "My Friend Flicka" is not quite up to the original, but overall it is enjoyable family fare as the story continues of a boy, Ken (Roddy McDowall), and his horse. This time around, Ken tries to train Flicka's colt Thunderhead to become a successful racehorse. Sequel: "Green Grass of Wyoming."
