When she learns that Remy (Remy Girard), a professor of history, is dying of cancer, his ex-wife Louise (Dorothee Berryman) calls on their son, Sebastien (Stephane Rousseau), to visit him. After one look at the hospital situation, Sebastien finds Remy a more suitable room and then contacts Remy's friends from around the world who all respond by visiting Remy.
