When playboy Maxwell Bard (Emlyn Williams) arrives in Heaven, he is granted one last wish. His request is to watch from above the reactions of his three poker playing pals (Howard Da Silva, Shepperd Strudwick, and Robert Kames) after they read the letters he left for them when he died. The letters tell about his affairs with each of their wives (Eve Arden, Ruth Warrick, and Vanessa Brown), and the letters result in amusing reactions from the husbands.
