Harry Anderson is at his crazy best in this comedy/mystery film. He plays CIA Agent Freddie Fallon who, as a houseguest of Alan and Beverly Rossmore (Ed Begley Jr. and Linda Purl), imposes on his hosts to help solve a mystery. They live at the International Arms apartment building in New York, and Fallon has tracked down a hit man to their building. The hit man, who uses household appliances to kill, is plotting to assassinate the President–and the killer might be next door! (The killer did WHAT with the cookie cutter?)

Based on actual events in 1970s' Philadelphia, this made-for-cable TV entry stars Rob Morrow as journalist Jonathan Neumann who is brought to Philadelphia to provide court coverage for a local newspaper. He immediately comes across a case of a handicapped young man who is found guilty of murder. But, on investigation, he finds out that the man was beaten into the confession by the police, and witnesses were beaten into providing the "correct" testimony. Because of this and other similar cases, he is targeted by the police for harassment. The corruption appears to go all the way up to the mayor's office.
