He bases his decision on their expression of how much each one loves him. The play's subplot about the Duke of Gloucester and his son was deleted in the interest of time.

But, will Corbeck be able to stop the mummy?

This screen adaptation of Robert Shaw's play is so far removed from Shaw's interpretation that Shaw removed his name from the credits.
