Rob Hawkins (Michael Stahl-David) is enjoying his going-away party at a lower Manhattan loft. To ensure memories of the event, his friend Hud (T.J. Miller) is handed a mini-camcorder. They spot the Statue of Liberty's head smashed in the street and a giant monster stomping through Manhattan. Now, Rob gets a call from his girlfriend Beth (Odette Yustman) telling him that she is trapped in a building. Rob and Hud are joined by Jason (Mike Vogel), Lily (Jessica Lucas), and Marlena (Lizzy Caplan), and they head off into the chaos to save Beth. With Hud's camera recording, the group encounters one horror after another in the middle of Manhattan, which is crumbling–block by block.

When the hot tub inexplicably starts working again, they pile in for a night of partying and wake up in the past–before Jacob was born. Now, they must find a way back to their own time while trying their hardest to avoid doing anything that would irreversably change their future. But then again, maybe a few changes may be good after all.
