Eighteen-year-old Takumi (Jay Chou) delivers tofu for his father's (Anthony Wong Chau-San) restaurant. But, what Takumi really wants to do is race like his father did up until five years ago. Tokumi has mastered the art of "drifting," which involves getting cars around corners fast while skidding. One day, Takumi has a run-in with ace driver Takeshi (Shawn Yue), and the race is on when Takumi races Takeshi down Mt. Akina on a mountain road.
