Vinnie is determined that Clarence be baptized and that he will "toe the line," and she stops at nothing to get her way. Meanwhile, their eldest son, Clarence, Jr. (James Lydon), is enjoying a romance with Mary (Elizabeth Taylor) who is visiting from out of town, and son John finds a way to make money by selling a questionable potion.
