Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron) is a homeless African-American teenager from a broken home who wealthy Leigh Anne Tuohy (Sandra Bullock) spots on a cold, winter night. He is wearing just shorts and a t-shirt, and Leigh Anne invites Michael into her Memphis home. Despite different backgrounds, Michael becomes part of the Tuohy family. His adopted family helps Michael achieve success as a student and hire Miss Sue (Kathy Bates) to tutor Michael. Michael succeeds with his studies and joins the football team at his Briarcrest Christian School. Later, he becomes a star player at the University of Mississippi, and this year signed with the NFL's Baltimore Ravens. Based on the true story of Michael Oher's life.
