| | The Long Walk Home | eliza 07/07/2012 | | A must see for all American's studying American history so we never forget the struggles that all blacks were subjected to during their quest for equal rights. It needs to be reiterated that the white man did all he could to destroy the dreams, goals, and lives of other human beings because of ignorance and fear. Change is inevitable through life and it needs to be embraced. Sissy saw that and decided to take the road less travel despite the ramifications she would endure. The black people peacefully stayed away from the buses, despite a year long battle to gain the right to sit anywhere on the bus. They walked miles before and after work whether it was pouring, humid, or cold. Peacefully they joined only to endure more hate. I believe there is no greater hate than jealousy based on fear. Perhaps America would be a better place if people had faith in their fellow man. Sissy could no longer turn a blinds eye to the suffering she saw everyday despite Whoopi Goldberg suppressing her emotion. What a treat!!! |

| | Wholesome and Entertaining | Anonymous 12/28/2011 | | Great film for families with younger children. Funny to see Billy Bob so different. Clint Eastwood & Frances Fisher's daughter's debut. Lot of great names in this one. |
| | very family oriented | Anonymous 02/01/2007 | | If you are tired of porn, nuclear explosions from a car gas tank and ready for a real classic then check this one out. Your kids can even watch it with you. I dont generally like movies set back in the times of depression era but this one is much different. |
