All goes well, until the old gang members appear on the scene, now led by Snake Bralt (Lew Meehan). Colt goes to Governor Gray (A.C. Henderson) and tells him that if he will release Wolf from prison, the two of them can bring in the gang. Now, it is up to the governor to make a big decision.

Beatty is accompanied by his assistant, Sharkey (Warner Richmond), and his press agent, Larry (Syd Saylor), and the action begins when Beatty's dirigible crashes on an island. The island is filled with animals of all sorts, as well as another group of men looking for gold. Before story's end, Sharkey proves to be on the wrong side, and Ruth is found.
