  The Morrow gang, led by Bart Morrow (I. Stanford Jolley), robs a stagecoach, killing the sheriff (Pierce Lyden). On his deathbed, sheriff hands his badge to his deputy Tod (James Ellison) urging him to catch the gang. When Marshal Johnny (Johnny Mack Brown) is assigned to track down the gang, he asks for help from Tod. But Tod is Morrow's son, and is torn between his duty and his family. He comes to the conclusion that he must help the Marshal.
