  After waking up in a hospital bed, Frank Kavanaugh (Val Kilmer) suffers from amnesia caused by a gunshot wound. He experiences flashbacks and is convinced that there is a plot to assassinate the President of the United States. Kavanaugh tries to convince local Sheriff Jack Kolb (Sam Shepard) that there could be trouble when the President passes through town later that day. But the sheriff has election plans to deal with and doesn't react as Kavanaugh feels is necessary to prevent disaster.

  In this sequel to 1998's "Henry Fool," Henry (Thomas Jay Ryan) has been missing for seven years, and his wife Fay (Parker Posey) is having problems with their son, 14-year-old Ned (Liam Aiken). Meanwhile, Fay's brother Simon (James Urbaniak) has been serving time in prison for helping Henry escape the law, and Fay negotiates with CIA agent Fulbright (Jeff Goldblum) for Simon's release. She is given a mission in undercover work involving a trip to Paris to retrieve Henry's notebooks containing his autobiographical confessions. Fay leaves for Europe, joins forces with Bebe (Elina Lowensohn) while running into spies and assassins, and ends up in Turkey tracking down political terrorists. Now, Fay must sort out how much of this Henry has been involved in.

  The problems of early sex and the threat of AIDS are the centerpiece of this documentary-style drama of one day and night in the lives of NYC kids. The story focuses on young Telly (Leo Fitzpatrick) who brags–as do his friends–about sexual exploits. After Jenny (Chloe Sevigny) has sex with Telly, she discovers that he has infected her with the AIDS virus and searches for him in order to confront him with the news. Meanwhile, Telly is partying with his friends and partaking in sex, drugs, and booze. By the time Jenny finds Telly, he has had sex with Darcy (Yakira Peguero), and Jenny is too late to save Darcy from her fate.
