Narrated by Leonardo DeCaprio who also produced this film, "The 11th Hour" argues that there is much with which to be concerned on the subject of global warming and warns that "progress" is upsetting Earth's eco-system. Using a montage of images involving deforestation, melting ice shelves, natural disasters, and suffering survivors, the film also includes numerous interviews with scientists, engineers, and those involved in environmental issues. The film goes beyond consciousness-raising as it looks at solutions to problems involving oil companies, economic globalization, and the U.S. government.
