  After her friend Sara (Agnes Moorehead) persuades New England widow Cary Scott (Jane Wyman) to reenter the social scene, Cary's life changes. Harvey (Conrad Nagel) proposes to her, but she turns him down. Cary meets a young gardener, Ron Kirby (Rock Hudson), and becomes involved in a love affair with him. Now, Ron asks Cary to marry him, but the idea of this May/December marriage does not get support from her family and friends who believe that Ron is no more than a fortune hunter. Will love survive the pressures?

A lab fire damages the Creature's gills, and the scientists, noting that it has lungs, converts the Creature into an air-breathing being that is unable to go into the water. Eventually, saddened by the new life, the Creature escapes and heads to who-knows-where.

  In this Mickey Spillane "Mike Hammer" story, Hammer (Ralph Meeker) picks up hitchhiker Christina (Cloris Leachman) and then is forced off the road and abducted by thugs who kill Christina. Hammer escapes and now tries to uncover the facts that led to Christina's murder. After talking to Christina's roommate Gabrielle (Gaby Rodgers) and to gangster Carl Evello (Paul Stewart), matters get very rough as Hammer unravels the mystery that ends with a "box"–described by Hammer's secretary Velda (Maxine Cooper) as the "great Whatsit." It turns out that the box is filled with atomic explosives ready to be unleashed on the world. Great job, especially for it's time.
