  Disney presents this classic story, which is set in ancient China. Mulan (voice of Ming-Na, singing voice of Lea Salonga) is a Chinese maiden who dresses as a male and joins the army to fend off the invading Mongols. She prays for help from her ancestors, and they send the 18-inches tall dragon Mushu (voice of Eddie Murphy) to protect Mulan. Mulan hides Mushu from others but takes Mushu with her when she joins the command of Captain Shang (B.D. Wong, singing voice of Donny Osmond), and risks everything to gain victory over the Huns.

Wong) when the Emperor (voice of Pat Morita) calls on them to serve as bodyguards for his daughters Mei, Su, and Ting (voices of Lucy Liu, Lauren Tom, and Sandra Oh) when they travel to a foreign land for arranged marriages that will help gain peace between nations. The trek proves difficult, and Mulan's dragon sidekick Mushu (voice of Mark Moseley) contributes to problems because he knows that his job will end if Mulan and Shang marry. Along the way, Mulan realizes that the princesses are being forced into loveless marriages and decides to help them escape their fate.
