  This story about World War I espionage features Julie Andrews in the role of Lili. Posing as a British music hall singer, Lili is really a German spy whose assignment is to uncover enemy plans. Her mission is jeopardized when she falls in love with handsome American pilot, Major William Larrabee (Rock Hudson), and, as a result, she puts both of their lives in danger when William realizes her secret but does not tell the authorities.
